Dan Russo of Rolling Hills at Antlers and Nick Feinberg of Troy both lost second-round matches Thursday, meaning the Capital Region will have no quarterfinalists in the New York State Golf Association's Men's Amateur.
Russo, 49, the area's amateur points leader two of the past four years, won his opening match of the day at the Yahnundasis Golf Club in New Hartford, beating Chris Sanger of Red Hook 2 and 1. In the second round, Russo lost to Justin Regier of Crag Burn, 1 up.
Feinberg, 21, a Cooperstown native who recently moved to Troy, captured a 3-and-1 victory over Andrew Cohen of Hampshire, but then lost 3 and 2 to Zach …
