QLD: Blood bank staff in protest rally over pay levels
BRISBANE, Feb 9 AAP - Some Red Cross Blood Service staff staged a protest rally outside
their central Brisbane headquarters today to protest pay levels they say lag behind that of
other public sector health services.
Union officials say the state government-funded Australian Red Cross (Qld) paid staff wages
at levels between 4.5 per cent and 6.5 per cent below the wages paid to other state government
funded health services.
State Public Services Federation Queensland secretary Gordon Rennie said the Red Cross had
