A proposed $23.7 million budget that would raise the district's true value tax rate by 3.8 percent was approved Wednesday by the East Greenbush Central School District Board of Education.The proposed spending package, which was approved by a 8-0 vote, is a $1.7 million increase over the district's current budget. Board member Rinaldo DeNuzzo was absent from the board meeting.The increases for the six towns in the district were not available, district business manager Donn Dykstra said,since the tax assessments for the towns had not been received from the State Board of Assessments and Equalizations.
